BJP Targets Women Voters in Bengal: Massive Campaign Strategy Ahead of Elections

West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026

West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026: Before the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026, the BJP has given a new edge to its election strategy. Voting is to be held in two phases on 23 and 29 April in the state, while the results will be declared on 4 May. In such a situation, amidst the election excitement, the focus of the BJP and the central government is now clearly visible on the women voters. It is believed that in the changing political environment of Bengal, the party is trying to create a strong environment in its favor by putting forward the issues related to women. This is the reason why, just before the elections, work is being done rapidly on the strategy of sending a direct message to the women voters, increasing communication among them and wooing them politically.

political message by linking it to women’s

The central government recently approved a proposal to amend the Women’s Reservation Act in a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Following this, a three-day special session of Parliament is scheduled to begin April 16th. The plan is to advance the bill related to women’s reservation in this session. The BJP wants to turn this entire incident into a major political message by linking it to women’s interests.

Before the start of the special Parliament session, the BJP is preparing to launch a nationwide outreach campaign to deliver a direct message to women. The party aims to inform women about how the government is working to increase their political representation. Through this campaign, the BJP aims to strengthen trust among women voters and convey the message that increasing women’s participation is its priority.

BJP President Nitin Nabin

BJP President Nitin Nabin is said to be actively involved in preparations for this campaign. He has held virtual meetings with the Chief Ministers of party-ruled states and has also held discussions with leaders from other states. These meetings discussed how to reach women on a wider scale and make the issue of women’s reservation a major public relations tool. Previously, Nitin Nabin had held several rounds of discussions with women leaders and Union Ministers, brainstorming on ways to make the campaign more effective. Several senior leaders, including Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi, National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar, MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat, BJP Delhi President Virendra Sachdeva, and Organization General Secretary BL Santosh, participated in these meetings. This clearly demonstrates the BJP’s organizational level preparations for this issue.

PM Modi may interact with women

It is reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address women activists on April 13th. It is believed that during this interaction, he will share information about the BJP and the central government’s efforts to promote women’s reservations. The party is viewing this event as an opportunity to connect directly with women. This interaction is being seen as an attempt to convey a political message as well as an emotional connection.

Preparations to connect women entrepreneurs and influencers as well

The BJP doesn’t want to limit itself to the traditional political sphere. The party is also trying to involve women entrepreneurs and social media influencers in this campaign. The aim is to spread the party’s message quickly to different sections of society and increase its impact among women. There are also plans to involve women representatives from local bodies in this campaign.

There are also plans to invite several women figures to the visitor gallery during the three-day special Parliament session. The BJP aims to convey the message that this major decision concerning women is being taken forward in their presence and with their participation. The party considers this both symbolically and politically important.
