Khamenei Warns US, Israel of ‘Geographically Unrestricted’ Response to Fresh Attacks

TEHRAN : Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei warned the United States and Israel against resuming military strikes, declaring that Tehran will retaliate without geographical limits if hostilities restart.

The warning, published on Khamenei’s website following a meeting with top military commanders, comes amid reports that Washington and Jerusalem could launch fresh strikes following the U.S. midterm elections. It marked the first reported gathering between the leader and his defense chiefs including armed forces Chief of Staff Ali Abdollahi and IRGC commander Ahmad Vahidi, since Khamenei succeeded his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in late February.

Khamenei instructed defense commanders to deliver an immediate, high impact counterstrike to any aggression and ordered them to expand Iran’s target list to encompass all U.S. and Israeli assets.

“If the enemies once again launch military or terrorist attacks, it is the armed forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation that will determine the time and conditions for ending them,” Khamenei said.

The stance signals Tehran’s readiness to escalate beyond regional borders if new operations materialize, following months of heavy exchanges across the Middle East.
