You Are Fortunate to Have Such an LG’: CJI Surya Kant Praises, Sends Strong Message to Officials

CJI Surya Kant: Chief Justice of India CJI Justice Surya Kant recently openly praised the administration of Ladakh. He said that the people and officials there are fortunate to have such a dynamic and proactive administrator. He made these comments (CJI Surya Kant)during his visit to Ladakh, praising the working style of Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena (LG). 

CJI had arrived on a visit to Ladakh

CJI Surya Kant arrived in Ladakh on an official visit. It is reported that this was the first visit by a sitting Chief Justice to this Union Territory. The primary objective of his visit was to strengthen the judicial system and ensure access to justice in remote areas. Upon his arrival in Leh, he was welcomed by the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, the Chief Justices of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Courts, and other senior judicial officials. During the visit, several programs were organized to strengthen the judicial infrastructure. 

During his visit, CJI Surya Kant also inaugurated the new district court complex in Kargil. He stated that the objective of the judicial system is to ensure that the law reaches every person, no matter how remote or inaccessible the area. He added that the new court complex assures that even those living in remote areas will not face difficulty in accessing justice.

The law also reached the soldiers

During the visit, the CJI also stated that soldiers engaged in protecting the country should have easy access to judicial rights. He believes that justice should not be limited to cities, but must also reach border and military areas. During the event, CJI Surya Kant told the officials, “You are fortunate to have such a dynamic and energetic administrator.” He praised the administrative performance of Ladakh, saying that only a good administration and a strong judicial system can bring positive change to people’s lives  .
