FLORIDA : US President Donald Trump stated that Washington is in no rush to reach a diplomatic agreement with Tehran, citing significant damage already inflicted on Iran’s military infrastructure. Speaking at his Mar-a-Lago resort, Trump claimed US operations have neutralized Iran’s primary naval, air force, and air defense capabilities, along with major manufacturing and nuclear sites.

“We are in no special hurry to make a deal because we have essentially neutralized their navy and air force,” Trump said, adding that remaining targets could be addressed quickly if necessary.

Asked whether military strikes could resume soon, Trump declined to detail operational strategy, stating, “If I were going to do that, would I tell you? And if I weren’t, would I tell you? I can’t tell you anything”. He also expressed ongoing skepticism regarding Tehran’s reliability in negotiations.

The comments follow a order from Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei directing Iranian armed forces to respond to any potential threats against US and Israeli targets. During the briefing, Trump also supported Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro’s stay in the US and raised concerns over a $50 million consulting contract involving his former attorney, Alina Habba Miltiad.
