MUMBAI – The Mumbai court remanded three suspects to police custody until October 31 in connection with the October 18 shooting targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff.
Investigators stated that the attack outside a Juhu club was allegedly coordinated on the directions of US-based operative Anil Pandit, an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The three suspects- identified as Rehan, Phool Singh and Ritik Kumar were captured by railway police aboard a train in Kota, Rajasthan, while allegedly attempting to flee toward Nepal. Mumbai Police later brought them back on transit remand.
The shooting occurred on the evening of October 18, when assailants on a motorcycle fired multiple rounds at Shroff’s vehicle. While the actor escaped uninjured, his driver and a pedestrian sustained injuries and received hospital treatment.
The Anti Extortion Cell expanded its probe across multiple states, resulting in 10 total arrests. Police inquiries indicate that firearms used in the plot were procured from Amritsar and smuggled into Mumbai via rail through a network involving intermediaries, including two women.
