Trump Iran war: Washington DC. The United States President Donald Trump on Tuesday (local time) stated that Washington could soon end the war with Iran. “We’ll be leaving very soon,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. He further added that the withdrawal from the Iran war could happen within “two weeks or maybe three.”
This is the first time that the US President clearly mentioned the time when Washington will exit from the conflict. The US President also said that it was(Trump Iran war) not necessary for Washington to make a deal with Tehran for ending the conflict. “Iran doesn’t have to make a deal, no,” Trump said.
Donald Trump Of Strait Of Hormuz Reopening:
While speaking on the Strait of Hormuz blockade, Trump said that it is a key global trade route and the US would not take responsibility for reopening it. “That’s not for us. That’ll be for France. That’ll be for whoever’s using the strait,” he said. Trump further added that there is no reason for the US to secure it.
Earlier on Monday, a report surfaced claiming that the US President wanted to end the Iran war without the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. Notably, if the US pulled out of the war, it would extend Iran’s grip on the strait, a narrow waterway between Iran and Oman that connects the oil- and gas-producing Gulf countries to the rest of the world. Nearly one-fifth of the total energy trade happens through this route.
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Trump told aides he is willing to end the US military campaign against Iran even if the Strait of Hormuz remains close. Officials in the US administration believe that if the military operation against Iran for the opening of the strait continues beyond its timeline of four to six weeks, it would extend the conflict.
